What the Heck Is It?: Artifact Identification Session

Do you have something that you can't identify? On Saturday, October 4th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM you'll have an opportunity to find out when professional archeologists, Dr. Jon Leader, Dr. Eric Poplin, and Jeff Sherard will be at the Hilton Head Library to analyze, identify, and date your artifacts. This program is free and open to the public.

In previous sessions, people have brought in a range of artifacts from prehistoric projectile points, Civil War devices and even African dolls.

Look around the house and bring in that thing that makes you wonder, what the heck is it?

This program is sponsored by The Beaufort District Collection and the Hilton Head Chapter of the Archaeological Society of South Carolina.

Note : Do not bring any weapons (guns, swords, daggers, etc.) to be examined. It is the policy of the Beaufort County Library not to allow any weapons in the libraries. No monetary valuations will be provided.
