This summer we want you to "Unearth a Story". A mini-excavation block activity will be hosted at the Hilton Head Library on Tuesday, May 26th at 3:30 PM for children and teens, ages 6 to 18. They will excavate their own tabletop archaeology unit to find buried artifacts in a block made of sand and plaster. Participants will learn what steps archaeologists take in the field during a real excavation and how they analyze what they discover.
Registration is required for this program. There are 20 spots available. Register for the event by stopping by the Children's Desk, calling 843.255.6529, or clicking here to register online.
In addition to registration, parents must sign a participation release form in order for their child to participate. The form must be signed and submitted no later than Thursday, May 21st. Forms may be submitted in person at the library or emailed to jessica.easterbrook@bcgov.net.
